There's a boat in the bay with a marvellous shape,
I wanna be there when the moon hides the day,
even though it comes and goes I feel intertwined with you.
We drove 'cross lands and 'cross lakes in the sweet morning light,
I felt asleep while she was wide awake,
and in the car played this song I haven't heard for years
it goes: Mmh mmm...
Her bleach blonde hair in the wind and her delicate smile,
reminded me of a girl I've known before,
and in a weird kind of way that's how the story goes,
I was craving for more.
But there's a weight I can't turn in the back of My mind,
no matter how hard I try it's always there.
and when the winter arrived in nostalgia,
I saw braces around and in your hair...
We lost ourselves for a night in this painted tree house,
and in dreams my hands were remembering hers,
a tiny flash can provoke a storm of memories,
for better or for worse.
Now there's this cold weeping wall in the blue summer sky,
between the lines and our home miles away,
we danced in the lights of the lake,
and drew this perfect sign in bloom...
